Safe Staffing Roundtable

As a part of our ongoing safe staffing campaign, VFNHP hosted a policy roundtable discussion to discuss the issues that so many of you are facing in your units and clinics. The conversation began with inpatient nurses Deb Snell and Tracy Dineen, outpatient nurse Sarah Ferguson, and CT technologist Lori Draper discussing what short staffing looks like on their units, how we got to this point, and how it is impacting patients and the broader community.  In the second portion of the discussion, we welcomed Vermont lawmakers Senator Thomas Chittenden and Representatives Selene Colburn and Curt McCormack to get their reactions to the issues earlier shared by our members as well as to talk about short and longer term solutions to the staffing issues that we face.  Go here to watch the full video
